We want anyone to be able to read this site, play its games, and use its tools.
Our standard
We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. That includes keyboard operability throughout the site and its games, visible focus indicators, text that scales without breaking layout, sufficient color contrast, and never using color alone to convey information — every game state that’s shown in color is also shown with a symbol or text label.
Games
Every game on the site is playable by keyboard alone, in addition to mouse and touch. Word and letter grids announce results to screen readers as you play, not only visually.
Where we fall short
This is a new and fast-growing site, and we don’t claim full conformance yet. If you hit a page, game, or interaction that doesn’t work with your assistive technology, we want to know about it specifically — that’s the fastest way for us to fix it.
